Do you have a 'very Special Child'?
Then you might be interested in my
TAILS!!

I created TAILS on Suzy's SHIRTS.
It works for us ~ maybe it will work for you, too.

Remember when your kids were babies?
And they all wore ONESIES?
I loved onesies for all 3 of my babies -
the shirts stayed tucked into the pants,
their tummies stayed covered, and warm, and protected,
the onesie kept the shirt from "bunching all up in the back" when the baby was in a stroller or carseat,
there wasnt' a bunch of material gathered around their boobies when they were rolling on the floor,
they just looked neater.

Suzy is pretty much still like a baby - AT AGE 5 - and STiLL NEEDS ONESIES.
So, I created a way to make EVERY SHIRT SHE WEARS A ONESIE by sewing on a TAIL!!

I have done this for 2 years, to every shirt she has, and it's very easy!!!

For every shirt, you need one baby onesie. Cut the bottom 1/3 off the onesie, cut off the sides, and sew it onto the bottom of the shirt.

stem cells 2009-02-23 09:45:18.0

Hi. This is Suzy.

I'm asking for your prayers.

I leave on Thursday, Feb. 26th,  with my family.

I will be getting my third treatment of stem cells.

The past 2 treatments have been helping me a lot.

I can't wait to get more.

Please ask God to send the 2 million cells to my brain, and repair the injured parts, and create wonderful new connections. God can do anything!! I know He will help me.

Thank you!  I love you all.

love,

Suzy

Suzy turning 2 2009-02-16 17:12:13.0

This birthday was so special for our family. (For her 1st birthday we were in the hospital.) This year we are just so grateful to God that He let us keep our baby. Suzy is our favorite miracle. Everyday she makes our family smile. Everyday we see God working within her. We are grateful for her smile, and we are eternally thankful for her life.

Suzy does something very amazing - She makes us appreciate just how precious life really is.

Thank you, Suzy!! We love you!!

I posted pictures of Suzy's little birthday party.

Today started out well.  It is Suzy's 2nd birthday and I was in a good mood.............oh,...how quickly things can go south around here!

By 12:00 Suzy had a fever of 101 degrees. My mom and I thought maybe her incision site was infected. So, off to the pediatrician we went. Nope, turns out she has an ear infection.

We filled her perscription, canceled  her birthday party, and attempted to get the antibiotic in her.  She couldn't tolerate the medicine. My wonderful  brother called her in a different antibiotic (thank  you Brian.)

By dinner she was vomiting bucket loads of brown syrup (turns out it is dried blood). We phoned the surgeon on call, and he said it is normal to have dried blood in the stomach after stomach surgery. Who knew?

By 8:30 we finally had her cleaned up and the meds stayed down, and she is tucked safetly into bed.

I just want to ask God - Why can't this poor baby have one really great day? and why couldn't it have been on her birthday? She deserves a nice day.

..............................to be continued.

happy birthday to Suzy 2009-02-13 07:13:59.0

Happy Birthday to our Little Sue,

Today our precious girl turns 2!

We're so proud of all you do!

Our hearts are beating with love FOR YOU!!!

Surgery Day 2009-02-11 18:03:31.0

Today Suzy had her surgery to close the stomach hole. She did great!! We thank God for such a successful outcome.  She has been eating and drinking all evening. (She had salmon, mashed potatos, fried chicken, and green beans for dinner.)  That's my girl!

She has been so happy that we haven't even needed to give her any pain meds ! We are so relieved to have the Feeding Tube Chapter of her life finally closed.

She is resting comfortable now. (Sleeping like an angel.)

Thank you to everyone who sent us well-wishes and sent God prayers.

"It's all good!"

Peace,

Whitney
